Arrival in Tanzania

There are various international airlines that fly into Dar es Salaam / Kilimanjaro Airport (KIA). KLM who fly daily from Amsterdam, British Airways from London, Swiss Airlines from Zurich and South African Airways from Johannesburg. Your booking agent will assist you with the best connection. On arrival you will be met by a representative of PH Asma Hunting Safaris, who will assist you with customs and firearms formalities. The arrival time of your flight will dictate if you spend the night in the city or if you go straight to the camp to start your safari. If you arrive late afternoon or evening, hotel accommodation will be arranged for you.

Transfer to the camp

You will be transferred from either the airport or from your hotel to the domestic air terminal for a light aircraft charter to the hunting area. The charter company, Tanzanair operates the oldest and most experienced air charter operation in Tanzania, with many years of experience and knowledge of the bush, hunting areas and airstrips. All of our airstrips are well maintained, fully registered and clearly marked. Flying times to camps will depend on the destination, type and size of the aircraft.

Transport in the field

The vast network of well maintained roads facilitate swift movement, thus allowing you to cover as much ground as possible. All vehicles are specially modified for hunting and safaris; fully equipped with radios, comprehensive first aid kits, and fridges.
